PowerEditor is a professional sound editing and production software, especially designed for radio / TV industry and personal editing, but also work well with music production and live recording.
It’s very easy to integrate PowerEditor into a radio automation system, Newsroom system or any other systems via Microsoft COM interface.
Most of the sound editing softwares are for the music industry, but not for the broadcaster. PowerEditor is designed mostly for Radio / TV program production and personal edition.
PowerEditor has a very low learning curve, those who are experienced with Adobe Audition ( CoolEdit ), Samplitude, Nuendo might find it easy to work with PowerEditor.

R.X.F(Realtime Cross-Format)
The world first product supports real-time cross-format editing, playback and recording. User can work with almost all the Wave, MP3 and MP2 files without having to decode into linear wave format. Decoding and encoding is not only time-consuming but also cause quality degrading.
Support DirectX and VST Effect Plug-ins
PowerEditor supports DirectX and VST effect plug-ins which means you can use more than one thousand plug-ins available in the market. Settings of the effect plug-in can be saved into the project file. Plug-in can be applied to both the clip and sound track.
Easy Level/Pan curve adjustment
The Level/Pan curve can be adjusted by just mouse dragging. The waveform will change in real time to display the real level of the clip being adjusted. The overall level of the clip and the fade in/out time can also be adjusted easily by dragging the level line or the fade points.
Fade in / Fade out
Auto cross fade will be applied when two clips are overlaid in one track. The curve of fade in/out is user definable. Linear/Log/SIN/Parabola/Hyperbola curves are already included in the software.
Auto-save of editing and recording
To avoid loss of data PowerEditor saves the sound file being recorded to the disk every 10 seconds saves project file each time when there is a editing being done.
Overview of the whole project
Overview of the whole project make it easier to locate one clip in a big multi-track project without having to zoom in and zoom out all the time. Each clip is displayed as a rectangle in the overview area. The selected ones will be displayed in red
Marking
Markers can be placed both on sound clip and time scale. You can locate the specific marker in the marker list. Marker can also be named in the marker list.
Editing while recording at the same time
You can edit the sound file even when it’s still being recorded; this saves a lot of time when you are recording a long-time event.
Precise editing to the sample level
PowerEditor supports physical multi-track audio interface, which means you can record a band performance or any other event live in multi-track.

PowerEditor can work with any PCI/PCI-E/USB/Firewire audio interface, PowerEditor also support HUI and MCP control protocol, with which PowerEditor can be controlled by any HUI/MCP compliant controller. You can use the JOG wheel, transport control and faders to work instead of the inconvenient computer keyboard and mouse. PowerEditor can work very well with external audio interface (Firewire or USB) which may has control like JOG, buttons and faders. That’s a very cost effective way to have a fully featured production system.
