Outstanding recording-quality
High-quality stereo microphones
The PAW-V recorder has a built-in high-quality XY stereo microphones, that fit various recording conditions. The microphone channel’s range of frequency response goes from approx. 20Hz to ~40Khz, its high directivity allows an excellent recording within the pointed perimeter while screening out the noise.
High-quality preamplifer circuit
The PAW-series’ recording products are dedicated to achieve the finest recording quality, the integrated circuits using a multistage optimisation design.PAW-V’s integrated preamplifer circuit offers an unprecedented sound quality, achieving a high signal to noise ratio (SNR), a wide dynamic range and an amplified input signal with restrained noise, thus giving the recording a clear and vivid sound.
Numerous recording options
HIGH and LOW recording templates
PAW-V carries on the PAW-series concept of “recording templates” while breaking the- restrictions of fix format recording , allowing you to change the record settings according to your needs, hence beeing particularly suitable for professionals with special requirements, like musicians or writer. The “recording templates” allow you further more to adjust freely the recording format, the sampling frequency, as well as the bit rate.
PCM, MP2 and MP3 recording formats
The linear PCM format preserves the highest quality and offers optimal results regarding the sound quality, but the files are quite big.
MPEG-1 layer2 (MP2) is the standart format for audio broadcast workstations or automatic broadcasting workstations.
MPEG-1 layer3 (MP3) format has a relatively small file size, but it can satisfy your needs for daily voice recordings, for example the recording of lectures or ordinary meeting/conferences.
AGC automatic gain control
The automatic gain control (AGC) function can adjust the amplifier gain automaticaly, based on the volume of the sound source. If the sound source’s volume is relatively small, AGC will automaticaly increase the level, giving the recording more clarity. If the volume is too big, AGC can reduce the level, so that it doesn’t exceed the level limit.
It is particularly suitable for conference recordings, as it can reduce effectively the volume discrepancy of sound sources that are located at different points.
LOW CUT high-pass filter
LOW CUT can be used for the filtering of low frequencies sound, it is suitable for filtering low frequency interferences, such as wind noise, etc. When LOW CUT is turned off, frequencies from 20Hz to ~40KHz can be recorded. When LOW CUT is turned on, frequencies from 100 Hz can be recorded.
Adding Marks
PAW-V's mark funktion can be used to subdivide recordings into tracks, thus making it easier for you to find specific parts rapidly during postproduction. With PAW-V, up to 99 marks can be added in one file.
Voice operated record (VOR)
VOR recording is a setting that allows your PAW-V recorder to stop recording and go into “standby” mode when the recorder does not detect any sound. It will resume recording when it picks up a sound. VOR function is an efficient way to save memory space.
Up to 3 seconds pre-record
The pre-recording function enables sound sources to be recorded for a maximum of three seconds prior to the point when the recording is started. Once it is activated, an audio file of a previously defined length will be dynamically saved into the buffer memory and will be added to the actual file after the proper recording has begun, thus ensuring a more complete record file.
Audio peak level detection
This is an audio peak level detector used to warn radio announcers when their audio level are too high. The audio peak level detection function is uesd to warn you that if the current recording level is too high. , the PEAK signal lamp will light up, it means the recording signal is beyond the capability of amplifier and signal clipping occurs. Please adjust the amplifier gain and keep the VU meter not beyond the recommended scale point on the screen in order to get the finest recording
feeling.
Super-long recording time
SD Card as storage medium
PAW-V supports SDHC or SD cards with a capacity of 32GB or even more, to completely satisfy your long-time recording requirements.

Various kinds of equalization(EQ)
An audio equalizer is a component used PAW-V offers various kinds of audio equalizers integrated, to adjust the tone or frequency response to achieve the desired sound quality. A proper use of equalizers will help you obtain a well-rounded sound and better sound effects. When using earphones, you can make use of diverse equalizer modes: normal, super bass, jazz, earphones, dance, industrial, rock, pop, classic, etc.
Smart audio level control
During the audio file playing PAW-V’s unique smart audio level control function detects dynamically the played file’s level value. When adjusting the output volume, PAW-V can increase low levels while ensuring at the same time that higher levels signal don” t overload(clipping), in order to preserve a perfect sound qualitiy.Using digital dynamic amplifying, the output play level can be 4 times (+12dB) higher than the original level ,offering you a clear sound feeling.
Built-in loudspeaker
High fidelity (Hi-fi) loudspeaker is built in PAW-V's rear side, so you can share the results of your recording anytime.
