It’s not as easy as years ago to find ISDN for broadcast-quality audio transmission, in some cases ISDN is inconvenient comparing to wireless solution like satellite, but satellite is expensive, difficult to operate with, and too much signal strength sensitive, especially in urban area full of skyscrapers.

Everybody knows 3G is a good technology to build a professional audio IP codec, but only one 3G adapter is not enough to guarantee bandwidth and availability, sometimes the coverage of one 3G operator may be not so good in some area.

AIP200/210 was invented to make 3G/IP a realistic solution for broadcaster, with more than three 3G adapters can be installed in one AIP200 more bandwidth and higher availability can be guaranteed during the transmission. AIP200 supports difference 3G systems such as WCDMA and CDMA2000 and even TD-CDMA, which means you can use AIP200 in any place around the world, 3G adapters of different systems can also work together just like they are in the same system.

AIP200/210 employs advanced algorithm to make the sound a FM quality at a very low bitrate, and the bitrate can be adjusted according to the bandwidth automatically or manually. Equipped with one stereo AES/EBU in and out and one stereo XLR balanced in and out, it’s convenient to connect AIP200 /210 to other pro-audio equipments in station or OB van.

AIP200/210 can be used for contribution, distribution and STL applications. In case of electromagnetic shielding external antennas can be connected to the rear panel to enhance 3G sensitivity.

An iPhone App will be released to work with AIP200/210 in Q2,2012, a professional microphone interfaced with Apple dock will be released with the App. AIP200 has three USB ports on the rear panel for the 3G adapter and AIP210 has swappable 3G modules in the box. The future 4G/LTE USB adapters can be plugged onto AIP200, AIP210 will be upgraded to work with 4G/LTE by changing the 3G modules inside the box
